Paket listesi okuma hatası (E: The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.)

Bir süredir Ubuntu 12.04 Beta sürümünü kullanmaktayım. Bir kaç gündür, gerek "Ubuntu Software Center" ile, gerekse terminal üzerinden "sudo apt-get install" komutuyla birşeyler yüklemeye kalktığımda hatalar almaktaydım. Gelen hata mesajını (E: The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.) araştırıp aşağıdaki çözümü denediğimde problemim çözüldü.

İlk olarak; terminal açılır ve aşağıdaki komut yazılır:

sudo rm /var/lib/apt/lists/* -vf

Bu komutun yaptığı işler tamamlanınca aşağıdaki komut yazılır:

sudo apt-get update
